Lendio Joins Startup America Partnership; Estimates $54 Million in Savings for Startups

At the White House last week, Startup America named Lendio a partner while announcing $ 475 million in new committed resources to help startups across the United States.

Access to capital is one of the key resources that young companies need in order to to grow and, in the process, create jobs across the country, said Scott Case, CEO of the Startup America Partnership. Startup America Firms will certainly take advantage of Lendios unique lending platform as they scale their businesses.

Startup America released its own platform in September to help small businesses jump-start their growth, and in turn, spur the economy. On Dec. 8, Board members, regional leaders and entrepreneurs met at the White House in Washington, DC, to discuss how to help startups grow in order to create jobs throughout the country.

According to the Kauffman Foundation, companies less than five years old accounted for all of the net job growth in the U.S. between 1980 and 2005. Startup Americas press release read, Young firms success is often dependent on access to a variety of resources that help them grow. New corporate commitments to the Startup America Partnership support the growth of startups in five key areas: Expertise, Services, Talent, Customers and Capital.

Lendio and Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. were the two partners announced to help businesses with capital.

Lendio, an online platform that matches a business owner to dozens of business loan options from more than 3,000 lenders nationwide, is offering free premium memberships and discounts on all related products, providing an estimated $ 54 million in savings to Startup America Firms, it read on Startup Americas press release.

Some of the other partners announced include LinkedIn, LegalZoom, Shutterstock and EventBrite.

The George Jarkesy Show Wraps Up Another Successful Week

Last week, The George Jarkesy Radio Show, hosted by George Jarkesy, aired with several excellent guests who discussed the political and economic issues on the world today. The nationally syndicated show airs on AM/FM radio through the Wall Street Business Network, from 4-5 PM EST, Monday through Friday. The show features Jarkesys commentary on issues in the worlds of business and politics, and the guests reflect the topics of each show. Along with co-host Dwayne Deslatte, the show aims to educate and enrich listeners, empowering them with the knowledge they need to make savvy decisions.

In the week beginning on January 30, 2012, the show opened with another Entrepreneurial Warrior of the Week Rob Swartwood, President of Ranger Coffee. During the segment, Mark discussed Quincys efforts to develop Alzheimers treatments and cures. They also had Alison Fraser from the Heritage Institute on the program, to discuss her work on the Saving the American Dream Act. The following day featured NRA Spokeswoman Stephanie Samford, who joined them to talk about the NRAs outreach programs for female firearm enthusiasts.

Sparks flew during their Throwdown Thursday show, as EWTNs Father Mitch Pacwa joined them to discuss the Obama administrations recent decision on contraception coverage for employer health care plans. They then had on Professor Alexander Cooley, professor at Barnard College and author of the upcoming book Great Games, Local Rules. As a pre-eminent expert on Central Asian politics, Professor Cooley joined them to discuss the construction of pipelines in Central Asia and the influence of China and Russia.

The week ended with a spectacular show, as Friday featured not one, but two big-name guests: Dr. Robert Murphy and U.S. Congressman Allen West. Dr. Murphy joined them for Fortune Friday, as they discussed the implications of paying for Iranian oil with alternate currencies. Congressman West, a retired Army officer, came on to talk about the upcoming 2012 elections, which he characterized as the most important since Lincolns election.

Guests for the first week in February include Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America; Chad Morganlander, Co-Founder of Washington Crossing Advisors; Andy Gibbs, the author of the VET Act of 2011; John Challenger, CEO of Challenger, Gray and Christmas; and Dr. Woody Brock, President of Strategic Economic Decisions, Inc.

New York Publishing Industry Veteran Philip Turner Joins Speakerfile
