Kids’ “Weed Out Hate” Grassroots, Lobbying President Obama for Peace

Weed Out Hate is a global peace initiative that connects young people through the power of gardening, showing them the power to exterminate the bad and draw upon the good in their relationships. Children relate rooting out negative behavior by extracting weeds in the yard and garden, and planting respect by planting symbolic sunflower seeds of peace. Currently being used at schools, community gardens, and. churches.

To implement this plan, anti-bullying themed Sunflower Peace Seeds were distributed to children throughout the United States and Germany…to date more than 35,000 packs. On the back of each pack is an action trigger to email the White House to lobby for a globally televised “Weed Out Hate” event. The children of the Feitshans Acadamy in Springfield held of political convention on Martin Luther King, Jr Day in January of 2012, to cast their ballots for peace. On April 3rd, 2012, Springfield Mayor Michael Houston proclaimed Weed Out Hate; Sow the Seeds of Peace Day in the Gardens of the Lincoln National Homesite. Similar proclamations have been issued by Illinois Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, and Iowa Governor Terry Branstad since the campaign began in August of 2010.

The concept is based upon German language book, “Der Himmelsgarten”, published by Allegria Verlag (Berlin) 2011. After rooting and illuminating Martin Luther King, Jr’s rhetoric in Kabbalah, idea was conceived to mobilize the children of the world to “weed out hatred” for commemorating the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech on August 28th, 2013. Children from all over the world are asked to email the White House, to kick-off this campaign on August 28, 2012

Dr. King had his dream; Daniels has a dream to inspire the children of the world to symbolically participate in its fulfillment. And who knows, this just might be the kind of catalyst to trigger world peace.







Supreme Court Backing of Obamacare Gives “Major Boost” to Insurance Firms, Pharma Companies and Healthcare Providers, According to GlobalData

At long last, the US Supreme Court announced today its decision on the constitutionality of President Obamas signature legislative achievement, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), more commonly known as Obamacare.

According to healthcare intelligence provider GlobalData, in upholding the ACA, including the contentious individual mandate, the Supreme Court gave a major boost to insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare providers.

Dr. Jerry Isaacson, head analyst for GlobalData’s healthcare industry dynamics team, says: “The issue has been so contentious, so hotly debated, that no decision rendered by the Court would have been entirely surprising. Perhaps the most striking thing about todays opinion is that it was led by the Courts conservative Chief Justice John Roberts. In his ruling, the Chief Justice determined that the individual mandate portion of Obamacare is constitutional, but on very narrow grounds. The Court rejected the Obama administrations first two arguments for the mandates constitutionality. The first argument was that the individual mandate was legal under Congress authority to regulate interstate commerce. This argument was embraced by the Courts four liberal judges, but did not win a majority. The next argument the administration put forward was that the mandate is constitutional based on the Necessary and Proper Clause of the Constitution, but this argument was also dismissed. The argument embraced by Justice Roberts, along with the four liberal judges, is that Congress has the power to impose the individual mandate as a form of a tax.”

The Chief Justice summarized his conclusion regarding the taxing power in a footnote to his opinion:

Blind American Veterans Trained to Make Phone Calls for Deaf American Veterans — Blind Veteran Relay Operators to Attempt Calls to Obama and Romney on Memorial Day

“Being blind and being disabled doesn’t mean you can’t learn a new skill said Fred Taylor, spokesman for the Veterans Workshop, a national veterans nonprofit. Our virtual instructors have trained an 89-year old, blind WWII Navy veteran on how to make phone calls for deaf American veterans. If we can do that, we can do almost anything,” said Taylor.

Emory Finefrock, 89, a blind Navy veteran from Yukon, Oklahoma has been in training for weeks and is now preparing himself to make phones call to the White House and to the Romney campaign, acting as a relay operator for a deaf American veteran.

“My generation is called the “Greatest Generation” and we still have gas left in the tank and I am eager to showcase to all Americans that while it is a fact that I am blind, it is also a fact that I am not helpless. I have been taught by the Veterans Workshop how to help a veteran who has lost his hearing make a phone call and I am dedicated to this project with all my heart,” said Finefrock.

Calling the presidential candidates will help to showcase to the American public this Memorial Day the disproportionate numbers of veterans who are blind and those who are deaf that are unemployed.

The Veterans Workshop deploys innovative and imaginative technology concepts that allow disabled veterans to find employment while helping each other.

“Who would ever have thought that a blind veteran could make phone calls for a deaf veteran?” said Taylor.

The Veterans Workshop did, and set out to prove the concept.

The Veterans Workshop has other innovative projects that will help shape the debate on what we do with those returning from the war on terror who are suffering from dramatic disabilities. Utilizing technology is just one way that these men and women who have given so much can continue to work.
